Load current calculation for three-phase and single-phase electricity:
For a single-phase circuit, the Motor power is calculated as: P = IUcos φ,
Phase current I=P/Ucosφ;
In the formula:
I is the phase current, which is equal to the line current
P is the motor power
U is the phase voltage, generally 220V
Cosφ is the motor power factor, generally taking 0.75
For a three-phase balanced circuit, the calculation formula for the three-phase motor power is:
P = 1.732 IUcos φ.
The line current formula can be derived from the three-phase motor power formula: I=P/1.732Ucosφ
In the formula:
P is the motor power
U is the line voltage, usually 380V
