On November 30, Xi'an Shenguang Anrui Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd.'s sapphire single wafer production project settled in Xi'an Aerospace Base. The total investment of the project is 4 billion yuan. After the completion of the first phase of the project, it will fill the domestic production of high-quality LED (semiconductor lighting) substrate materials. The sapphire substrate is mainly used as a semiconductor base material for high-brightness semiconductor light-emitting lighting devices and high-speed, high-frequency radio communication devices and is a key material for the upstream of the LED industry.

At present, the sapphire substrate used in domestic high-end LED products mainly depends on imports. This has become a bottleneck restricting the development of China's LED industry. The sapphire substrate project started this time adopts a full set of advanced international single crystal production equipment and technical processes, and all technical parameters have been achieved. International advanced level. After the project is completed, it will change the pattern of the domestic LED industry, and Xi'an will also become the main production base of the upstream products of China's LED industry. The first phase of the project will invest 450 million yuan. The first phase of the production line is expected to start production on July 1, 2011. After the first phase of production, the annual sales revenue is expected to be no less than 40 million US dollars.
