Fairchild Semiconductor launches FSA8049 MIC / GND crosspoint switch that conforms to the audio configuration jack standard
Designers face the challenge of two main audio configuration jack standards, namely Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) L / R / M / G for 3.5mm audio jack, and CTIA L / R The / G / M jack pin corresponds to the standard. Because the jack pins correspond differently, designers can only choose to support one of these standards, or use more complex designs with more components to support both standards.
To meet this challenge, Fairchild Semiconductor has introduced the FSA8049 MIC / GND crosspoint switch that meets two audio configuration jack standards. This device is a new member of Fairchild Semiconductor's high-performance analog mobile audio device family. It can detect the ground (GND) and microphone (MIC) electrode positions on the audio plug and automatically complete the corresponding connection. This will allow end users to connect different audio The earphone with the electrode configuration is inserted into the device to make it work normally.
