Shanghai first released LED construction and acceptance criteria
　　 January 30th, Shanghai Local Standards "Construction and Acceptance Specifications for Lighting Projects Using LED Technology Part 1: Construction Specifications" and "Adoption", drafted by Shanghai Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Technology Research Center and Shanghai Metrology and Testing Technology Research Institute Lighting Technology Construction and Acceptance Specifications for LED Technology Part 2: Acceptance Specifications. The standard has been implemented since May 1 this year.
The "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Lighting Projects Using LED Technology" is the first normative document guiding the construction of LED projects in Shanghai. Under the guidance of the Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, Shanghai Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Technology Research Center and Shanghai Metrology and Testing Technology Research Institute have organized experts from many universities and research institutes including Fudan University and Shanghai University. Conducted a large number of research and investigation work, and extensively listened to the opinions of many enterprises and well-known experts in the field of LED lighting, drafted the above standards, and formed the technical standards in more than ten LED industries and two local standards in engineering.
As one of the main ways for human beings to realize new energy sources in the future and LED energy conservation and emission reduction strategies, LED lighting is becoming more and more important. At present, LED technology has been applied in the field of urban lighting in Shanghai. However, due to the lack of improvement in the relevant construction and engineering acceptance standards for LED lighting projects, there are many problems in engineering applications that need to be standardized.
It is reported that the 2010 Shanghai World Expo will be applied to a large number of LED lighting technologies, “One Axis and Four Pavilions†(ie, Expo Axis, Theme Pavilion, China Pavilion, Expo Center and Performing Arts Center) and Expo City Best Practice Area (Shanghai Eco-House) The façade landscape lighting of the building has adopted LED lighting technology, which makes the formulation of relevant standards more urgent. The publication of relevant standards has a positive and significant significance for strengthening the supervision of the construction quality of LED lighting projects in the World Expo, standardizing the future construction of LED lighting projects, and promoting the healthy development of the LED industry.
