MAXl703 is a boost chip from Maxim. The chip has a built-in MOS tube that can provide an output current of 1.5A. Due to the pulse frequency adjustment mode and synchronous rectification (frequency is 200~400kHz), the efficiency can be as high as 95%; the input voltage range is from 0.7 to 5.5V. Therefore, it can be powered by 1~3 nickel-metal hydride or alkaline batteries, or it can be powered by 3.6V lithium-ion battery (the circuit designed by the author is lithium battery); the output can be set to a fixed 5V or 2.2~5.5V. The circuit output voltage of this paper is a fixed 5V.
