IDC report: PC market progresses steadily in 2018_ vitality maintains growth

According to the "IDC Quarterly China PC Tracking Report", China's PC market (excluding workstations) shipped 53.33 million units in total in 2017, including 22.17 million units in the consumer market, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%. 31.16 million units, an annual decrease of 0.6%.
Judging from various industries in the commercial market, the government industry performed well. IDC pointed out that in 2017, due to factors such as public security procurement demand in the mainland government industry, PC shipments increased by 8.6% annually; and the education industry has entered the finalization stage in 2017 due to the acceptance of a large number of regional education thinning projects in 2016. Mainland PC large enterprise market shipments totaled 5.649 million units in 2017, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%. However, some sub-sectors in the large enterprise market still showed vitality in the "small year", and industry demand showed a positive growth trend.
IDC believes that the continuous advancement of the mainland's economic transformation has driven the professional services industry (such as software, IT information service related industries) and the communications industry to show vigorous vitality; more urban rail transit and railway lines are open to traffic, which has inspired many control centers, The demand for training classrooms; while the continuous promotion of medical reform policies, the digital transformation of the medical and health industry continues to advance, more and more large third-tier hospitals have established Internet medical services. IDC expects that the professional services, communications, transportation, medical and health industries in mainland China will continue to show vitality in 2017. In the commercial market in the next five years, the annual growth rate of these sub-sectors will also be higher than the overall market.
