iPad 2 is listed in Taiwan today

The Apple iPad 2 is on stage and will be sold on the Friday of the 27th at Apple Store, Tsann Kuen, and Deyi. Benefiting from the appreciation of the new Taiwan dollar, the iPad 2's pricing in Taiwan is expected to be lower than the first-generation iPad selling price by about NT$1,000 and the minimum NT$15,500 (equivalent to 3,480 yuan).

Channel sources estimate that the first batch of iPad 2 shipments will be less than 15,000 units, and once it is opened, it will face shortage pressure. The iPad 2 has been listed on the Asian market in Japan, South Korea, China, and Hong Kong. Apple fans in Taiwan can't wait. The iPad 2 parallel shipments are already everywhere in Taiwan.

Last night, Apple’s premium distributor, Studio A, is reporting on the website that the iPad 2 will be sold on Friday, but the selling price is still confidential. Channels in Taiwan estimate that the recent appreciation of the NT dollar, iPad 2 selling price, is expected to be slightly lower than the price of iPad listed in Taiwan, cheaper about 1000 NT.

The well-known website mobile 01 has recently published a propaganda list for suspected iPad 2, the 16GB WiFi version of iPad 2 costs about 15,500 Taiwan dollars, and the high-end 64GB WiFi+3G version costs about 25,500 Taiwan dollars.

Channel makers said yesterday that the iPad 2 sales channels, like the iPad, are sold in Apple Stores, Apple Premium Distributors, Tsann Kuen, Deyi, and Accor. Market participants estimate that the supply chain affected by the earthquake in Japan and the shipment of the iPad 2 from the Hon Hai fire will result in shipments of less than 15,000 units in the first batch, so it may be out of stock just after being listed.

In addition to the 3C channel, Taiwanese telecom operators are actively seeking to sell on the telecom channel, but Apple has not yet received a positive response. The deputy general manager of China Telecom said that the iPad 2 is the tablet computer most concerned this year and will drive Taiwanese users’ enthusiasm for tablet PCs. It is also expected to increase mobile Internet service revenue.

At the end of November last year, the iPad started selling in Taiwan. The lowest-end WiFi 16GB is priced at NT$16,500, WiFi+3G 64GB is priced at NT$26,900, and iPad is sold for half a year to sell 75,000 to 80,000 units. The market expects that iPad 2 Sales volume is expected to increase significantly compared to iPad.
