Sony plans to launch Xperia flagship mobile phone with OLED screen in 2018
In the field of smart phones, Sony is always at a disadvantage. In recent years, the Xperia product line cannot compete with Samsung, LG, and Huawei, but the Japanese company hopes that this situation will improve or even change in the next few years. Citing Japanese media Nikkei report, Sony plans to launch Xperia flagship mobile phone with OLED screen in 2018, but it is not yet clear when it will be released.

Usually, Sony will choose to launch new machines at the MWC exhibition in February and the IFA exhibition in September, so we are expected to release it at the MWC exhibition next year. In addition, the report also mentioned that in 2018 only one flagship will use OLED screens, and other Sony new machines will still use LCD panels. The OLED panel should be similar to the recently released A1 series of televisions, offering darker blacks and higher contrast.
However, even the flagship of the OLED screen is still not enough to attract consumers, because at that time manufacturers such as Samsung and LG may have launched a foldable mobile phone.
