Design of 555 Infrared Reflective Water-saving Faucet Control Circuit
The infrared water-saving circuit distributes and receives two parts, which are placed on both sides of the faucet. When someone approaches the faucet to wash, the infrared beam is reflected, and the solid state relay is triggered, amplified, decoded and outputted to open the faucet. After washing, the person will go and the tap will automatically close. The circuit saves water and saves electricity, and can prevent contact infections of various diseases. It can be widely used in public places such as restaurants, public toilets, hospitals, and passenger stations.
The water-saving circuit includes an infrared modulation transmitting circuit, an infrared sensing receiving amplification, a decoding, and a solid-state relay control solenoid valve circuit. Figure a is an infrared modulation circuit. 555 and RP1, R2 and Cl form an astable multivibrator, generating a pulse sequence with a duty ratio of about 1:2, and driving the infrared light emitting diode through the VT1 to emit an infrared pulse beam. The oscillation frequency of the oscillator is: f0=1.44∕(RP1 åR2)C1, the oscillation frequency of the illustrated parameter ranges from 32 to 48 kHz, and RP1 is adjusted so that the oscillation is around 38 kHz.
